About The Position

Aggreko is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator in Reno, Nevada. This role is responsible for implementing and administering HSE Management Plans, ensuring compliance with regulations, conducting field observations and audits, monitoring contractor safety, and promoting a proactive safety culture. The position involves participating in planning meetings, assisting with procedure development, and visible field presence.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED
  • 3+ years of HSE experience supporting industrial construction or power generation projects.
  • Experience working with contractors and managing project safety programs.
  • Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations (if needed) and be on standby for work outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit for prolonged periods of time; and be able to walk over uneven terrain with functional balance that does not require any special assistive devices.
  • Must be able to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion that will permit work to be safely performed from ground / floor level to full overhead level.
  • Must have good finger dexterity to manipulate small items, functional hand-eye coordination, and functionally grip with adequate strength to safely hold tools and stair railing or ladders.
  • Must be able to safely meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, which includes being able to lift (60 lbs), push/pull (80 lbs), carry (60 lbs), climb stairs and ladders as well as a combination of climbing while carrying objects (15 lbs), stoop, kneel and squat.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and administer the project-specific HSE Management Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state regulations, and company HSE requirements.
  • Conduct routine field observations, inspections, and audits to verify compliance.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance and enforce project safety expectations.
  • Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), and Safe Work Plans.
  • Participate in construction planning meetings to identify and mitigate hazards prior to work execution.
  • Assist with development and implementation of site-specific procedures and work instructions.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and visible field presence.
  • Lead or assist with incident investigations.
  • Conduct root cause analyses for injuries, near misses, property damage events, and environmental incidents.
  • Develop corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Track incident trends and recommend improvements.
