About The Position

Mammoet is looking for a Health and Safety Advisor (SHE-Q Advisor) responsible for ensuring that operations conducted on our construction sites and workplaces are safe, compliant, and of high quality. In this role, you will assess work activities, conduct safety inspections, support workplace training, and help ensure that employees and subcontractors adhere to Mammoet's standards, client standards, and regulatory requirements. Your work will directly contribute to minimizing safety incidents and strengthening our safety culture.

Requirements

College diploma in Health, Safety, and Environment, with approximately six years of relevant experience; or vocational training in a technical discipline with approximately eight years of relevant field experience.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, practices, and systems.
Experience in supporting safety in the field, on construction sites, in industrial environments, heavy lifting, transportation, construction, or related operational environments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant SHE-Q systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clear reports and effectively communicate safety expectations.
Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
Availability and ability to travel, including to remote construction sites for determined periods when necessary.

Nice To Haves

Working knowledge of heavy lifting and transportation equipment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Inspect construction sites and workplaces to identify safety risks, assess work practices, and verify that employees are using required personal protective equipment and adhering to company safety policies.
Maintain a strong understanding of occupational health and safety (OHS) requirements and promote safe work execution among employees, subcontractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
Identify workplace training needs and support operational management in delivering safety training, orientations, and coaching to field personnel and new employees.
Discuss safety risks, hazards, and safe work expectations with employees and subcontractors.
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, document findings, and recommend preventive measures to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Prepare and submit SHE-Q reports, incident documentation, and related records using defined standards, procedures, and systems.
Review subcontractor safety documentation to verify compliance with Mammoet and client standards, and provide support or training as needed.
Accurately maintain SHE-Q administration, records, and data in applicable systems.
Support the SHE-Q Manager with reporting, performance analysis, and continuous improvement activities.
