About The Position

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville Athletic Department, an NCAA DIII member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (WIAC), is seeking applicants for the position of Head Women’s Wrestling Coach. This is a full-time position, benefit and paid leave eligible, with a salary of $50,000 per year.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution
Wrestling coach experience on the collegiate level or several years on the high school varsity level
Organizational, written and oral communication skills
Knowledge of computer applications for recruiting software and video breakdown
Ability to recruit Pioneer Champions in academics, athletics, wellness, and life.
Fundraising, event planning and camp experience
Ability to travel frequently and to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays
Transferable skills, educational background, expertise serving in a Collegiate Athletic department

Responsibilities

Responsible for leading, planning and administering all phases of an NCAA Division III women’s wrestling program with the utmost integrity, and fiscal responsibility, while developing a successful program to ensure competitive success at the conference, regional and national levels.
Ensuring student-athlete well-being, academic success & graduation
Recruit and develop top student-athletes
Roster management
Fundraising
Scheduling and team travel
Develop community and alumni support for the program
Facility and equipment coordination
Camp and clinic operations
Hiring/supervision of assistant coach(es).
Ensure knowledge and adherence to NCAA, conference and UW-Platteville rules, regulations and policies.
