About The Position

The Head Coach for Women's Soccer is responsible for leading all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, player development, and program administration. This role plays a central part in fostering the athletic, academic, and spiritual growth of student-athletes while promoting a culture of excellence and integrity within the program. The Head Coach is expected to provide strong leadership, vision, and mentorship, contributing to the overall success and sustainability of the team. Additionally, the Head Coach may assist with departmental initiatives as assigned and is expected to actively support the university's Christian mission.

Requirements

  • Strong Christian commitment and adherence to the standards outlined in the OCU Community Lifestyle Statement
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Experience in coaching soccer or playing at the collegiate level
  • Knowledge of NCCAA rules and recruiting processes
  • Passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes athletically and spiritually

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of daily practices, training sessions, and game preparation
  • Analyze game and practice film to evaluate performance and provide feedback to student-athletes and staff
  • Mentor and support student-athletes in their athletic, academic, and spiritual development
  • Oversee and coordinate strength and conditioning programs in collaboration with performance staff
  • Direct all recruiting efforts, including communication, evaluation, travel planning, and hosting prospective student-athletes
  • Maintain oversight of recruiting databases and ensure compliance with all governing body and institutional regulations
  • Develop and manage team schedules, travel arrangements, and program logistics
  • Ensure full compliance with NCCAA and institutional policies
  • Lead and support fundraising initiatives and service projects
  • Oversee all game-day operations, including strategy, scouting, and team coordination
  • Provide leadership for team events, camps, clinics, and community outreach programs
  • Guide promotional and marketing efforts to enhance program visibility and engagement
  • Attend and actively participate in institutional chapel services
  • Lead and promote the university's mission, values, and faith-based community initiatives within the program
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
