About The Position

The Head Women’s Golf Coach is responsible for the overall management and development of the ULM Women’s Golf program. As an NCAA Division I FBS institution and a member of the Sun Belt Conference, the coach will oversee all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruitment, scheduling, budget management, and student-athlete development. The role requires adherence to all NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations, while promoting the value of athletics within the university's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of Division I collegiate golf head coaching experience.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively.
  • Unwavering commitment to ethics and fiscal responsibility.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, community, diversity, and gender equity.
  • Must demonstrate an appreciation of university culture and tradition.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree in a related field.
  • Member of the LPGA/PGA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the ULM Women’s Golf program.
  • Oversee athletic coaching, training, and student-athlete development.
  • Manage the financial budget for the Women’s Golf program.
  • Schedule team practices, non-conference games, and manage all aspects of team travel.
  • Recruit prospective student-athletes.
  • Hire and evaluate support staff.
  • Engage in fundraising, public relations, and other program-related matters.
  • Monitor student-athlete academic progress, CARA, and promote life skills and overall well-being.
  • Adhere to NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, and University rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate the value of athletics to the university's mission and strategic plan.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or Director of Golf.
  • Teach classes as assigned.
