About The Position

Churchland High School is seeking a Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. This position requires extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in basketball, a program-centered approach, and the ability to exhibit good sportsmanship. The coach must also have knowledge of VHSL rules and work well with children. The role involves moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 25 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods. The work environment may expose the coach to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and loud noises.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of the rules and skills in the sport.
• Must be program centered.
• Must have specific skills and exhibit good sportsmanship.
• Must have knowledge of VHSL rules.
• Works well with children.
• Previously competed at the college level, club team or professional level.
• Submit a standard on-line application.
• Submit two letters of reference.
• Submit a recent TB test or screening.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of one year of coaching experience as an Assistant or Head Coach preferred.
