About The Position

Planters Bank & Trust Company is seeking a Head Teller for their Leland Branch in Leland, MS. This role involves managing all teller line activities, including processing deposits and withdrawals, issuing financial products, maintaining cash security and balancing, cross-selling bank services, and responding to customer inquiries. The Head Teller is expected to live the company's core values, deliver quality service, possess a team-oriented attitude, maintain confidentiality, and develop a working knowledge of all bank products. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with teller training, vault maintenance, and opening/closing the night vault. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Basic Accounting knowledge
• 6 months of cash handling and balancing money transactions within prior four years
• Communication skills in dealing with customers and employees
• Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Check Report

Nice To Haves

• Bank experience not required but strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Manages all the teller line activities
• Paying and Receiving funds for deposit account transactions
• Issuing Money Orders, Official Checks, Savings Bonds, and other financial products
• Maintains security and balancing of cash on daily basis and other collections
• Cross-sells Bank’s Services and Products
• Responds to customer inquiries
• May assist in teller training
• Vault maintenance
• May assist in opening and closing of night vault
