Provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for swim team members. Requirements
- Be able to complete Safety Training for Swim Coaches.
- Be able to complete Principles of YMCA Swimming and Diving.
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, Basic First Aid, Emergency Oxygen and Lifeguarding or Water Safety for Coaches.
- At least 21 years of age.
Responsibilities
- Retain and recruit swim team members.
- Work closely with other coaches, parents and the Aquatics Department to ensure that our team meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure that the team and participants are following league rules and regulations.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
- Plan and administer practice for assigned training groups.
- Attend swim meets and other functions as required.
