About The Position

The Jorgensen Family YMCA and Jackson R. Lehman YMCA are seeking part-time Masters Swim Team Coaches to work with adult swimmers (18+) of diverse skill levels, helping them develop their abilities throughout the swim season.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must have previous experience with competitive swimming as a coach and/or swimmer.
• Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
• Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the YMCA or other accredited association preferred (i.e., LGI and YMCA PYAL, etc.) or the willingness to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Build effective authentic relationships with members, swim participants and parents.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for the swim team participants.
• Plan, direct, and attend all swim team practices, meets, and functions.
