Head Start Assistant Teacher
About The Position
Excel Creative Early Learning, part of Early Learning Academies (ELA), is hiring a Head Start Assistant Teacher to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe, developmentally enriching caregiving. The role contributes to a welcoming, caring classroom environment and helps prepare children for continued development and eventual success in school and life. Teachers use the company’s emergent curriculum to teach responsively to children and their interests. The advertised schedule is 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no nights or weekends. The company offers paid professional development, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to develop skills and pursue advancement as available.
Requirements
- At least one year of childcare experience.
- CDA credential in Infant/Toddler or an associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Ability to pass background and hiring requirements.

- Use the emergent curriculum to respond to children and what they want to learn.
