About The Position

Ascension Child Development Center is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher for their facility in Bellwood, IL. This position is part of the Head Start program and focuses on supporting young children's development. The role involves assisting in the planning and implementation of daily activities, supporting school inclusion efforts, and identifying opportunities to boost student skills, particularly in communication and social-emotional growth. Requirements

High School diploma equivalency and 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Must be at least 19 years old.
Hold at minimum a high school diploma/GED plus Preschool Child Development Associate.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a preschool, Head Start, or other educational setting with young children is required.
