Serve as the Junior High Head Soccer Coach, overseeing all aspects of the Junior High Soccer Program. This includes player development, game strategies, team leadership, tryouts, practices, and games. The coach must be knowledgeable about the game, particularly game management and rules, and develop and execute an effective training program. A key aspect of the role is to motivate and mentor student-athletes, instructing them in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training to achieve individual and team success. The coach is also responsible for guiding student-athletes in developing moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence, while fostering teamwork, discipline, respect, sportsmanship, and skills development. Ensuring the safety and well-being of student-athletes is paramount. The coach must cooperate with the School Athletic Director and District Athletic Department, meeting all requirements mandated by the District Board of Education, OHSAA, and ODE, including Coaches Tool Chest (CTC) Training/Certification and the ODE Pupil Activity Permit (PAP). The coach must also check the academic eligibility of student-athletes, follow District Athletic Department Policies, and model expected behavior.
