About The Position
Head Orientation Leaders (HOLs) will assist the director with summer projects and the training of Orientation Leaders (OLs). They will be responsible for welcoming new students to Chatham during orientation, creating an inclusive environment, and assisting new students with meeting others, experiencing events, and acclimating to campus. HOLs will also lead a group of 15-20 first-year students throughout Orientation.
Requirements
- Current student employee status.
- Must notify other managers if working multiple jobs on campus.
- Students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year.
- Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.
- Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
Responsibilities
- Assist the director with summer projects and training of OLs.
- Welcome new students to Chatham during orientation.
- Create an inclusive environment for all students.
- Assist new students with meeting other students, experiencing events, and becoming acclimated to campus.
- Lead a group of 15-20 first-year students throughout Orientation.
Benefits
- $11 per hour for the summer.
- $500 applied to student account for OL training and Orientation Week.
- Additional $200 for fall semester requirements.
