About The Position

The Orientation Leadership Team (OLT) consists of paraprofessional staff members within the Office of Academic and Advising Services (AAS). This role requires a commitment of 15+ hours per week in AAS from May 2026 through the weeks following Bear Beginnings. Position members will receive a pay rate of $11.20 per hour, subject to all federal and state payroll taxes. While outside employment and activities are permissible, they must not conflict with OLT responsibilities, including office hours, additional hours as required by the Coordinator of New Student Programs, and program/event dates. Consultation with the Coordinator is necessary before accepting additional summer positions or enrolling in summer classes. The OLT commitment includes a paid vacation towards the end of June/beginning of July. The team reconvenes in early July to plan for Transfer Orientation, PA Training, and Bear Beginnings. OLT members may be asked for assistance by various staff members throughout the summer and are expected to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.

Requirements

Must be a current Student Employee or have previously worked in a student position to apply from Workday.
Must be available to work 15+ hours per week in AAS from May 2026 through the weeks following Bear Beginnings.
Must be available for a paid vacation towards the end of June/beginning of July.
Must be available to return to the office in early July for planning.
Must be able to handle confidential, sensitive information appropriately.

Responsibilities

Work 15+ hours a week in AAS from May 2026 through the weeks following Bear Beginnings.
Attend to office hours and additional hours as required by the Coordinator of New Student Programs.
Participate in programs and events.
Plan for Transfer Orientation, PA Training, and Bear Beginnings.
Handle any and all confidential, sensitive information appropriately.
