About The Position

As Head of US Distribution at Testudo, you'll own our distribution strategy and producer relationships from zero to one — building the pipelines through which an entirely new category of risk reaches the market. We offer a zero-politics, high-trust environment (we hate bureaucracy). You'll have end-to-end ownership of the strategy, direct access to producers, and the mandate to move fast.

Requirements

Have a deep network of decision makers at wholesale and retail producers across all major US insurance hubs.
Maintain the required US P&C and surplus lines licensure.
Have a proven track record of building distribution pipelines for specialist MGAs or Lloyd's Coverholders, for niche P&C products sold on an excess and surplus lines basis.
Are genuinely interested in a new category of AI risk.
Enjoy working with engineers to make our beloved producers' experience feel effortless.
Enjoy meeting producers face-to-face across the United States.
Need an established brand behind you.
Want to inherit a book.
Measure the work in meetings booked rather than GWP bound.
Would rather pass a product objection back to underwriting than answer it in the room.
Prefer remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities

Developing the distribution and go-to-market strategy from zero to one for our generative AI liability policy, and the products that follow it, across US wholesale and retail producers.
Sourcing, converting, and growing producer relationships to drive GWP growth and market reach.
Working as the bridge between producers and our engineering and underwriting teams to improve distribution velocity.
Building producer tools with our founders and engineers that let brokers lead the generative AI risk conversation themselves.
Creating producer education materials with our general counsel for a risk category nobody has sold before.
Establishing the analytics frameworks that show which producers are actually performing.
Building a distribution team as the portfolio grows.
