Head of Distribution Partnerships

Together AISan Francisco, CA
$300,000 - $350,000

About The Position

Together AI is building the AI-native cloud, offering the fastest inference infrastructure, a model ecosystem, an orchestration layer, and data center footprint for enterprises and frontier labs. As the company expands its reach, it is seeking a Head of Distribution Partnerships to establish and cultivate 0-to-1 partnerships that drive token distribution from models served on Together. This role is ideal for a builder with strong technical instincts and a background in product partnerships, who can identify synergies between Together's open-source model serving capabilities and other platforms' distribution channels. The position involves working across technology partnerships, co-sell motions, ISV integrations, and OEM arrangements with data platforms, cloud providers, and software ecosystems. The Head of Distribution Partnerships will need technical fluency for scoping integrations, product instincts for identifying compelling integration points, and the drive to convert initial outreach into successful partnerships. This role reports to the VP of Strategic Partnerships and collaborates with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and the broader Partnerships team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in product partnerships, business development, or technical alliance management, ideally at an infrastructure, developer tools, or platform company.
  • 0-to-1 Builder Mentality: Track record of sourcing and closing partnerships from scratch — comfortable with ambiguity, cold outreach, and building process where none exists yet.
  • Technical Acumen: Enough technical depth to scope integrations directly with engineering counterparts — APIs, SDKs, model serving, or infrastructure integrations — without needing a technical partner in every conversation.
  • Commercial Structuring: Experience negotiating technology partnership agreements, co-sell frameworks, ISV/OEM arrangements, or marketplace integrations.
  • High EQ & Self-Starter: Comfortable operating with significant autonomy, building trust with partner stakeholders quickly, and prioritizing across a broad and evolving partner landscape.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience partnering with or working inside data platforms, cloud marketplaces, or enterprise software ecosystems.
  • Background in AI infrastructure, model serving, or inference, or strong familiarity with the open-source model ecosystem.
  • Experience with marketplace private offers, co-sell motions, or consumption-based commercial models.

Responsibilities

  • Source and Build 0-to-1 Partnerships: Identify and prioritize distribution partners — data platforms, cloud marketplaces, ISVs, and software ecosystems — where Together's open-source model serving and inference performance is a differentiated fit. Build these relationships from first contact through signed agreement and launch.
  • Structure Technical & Commercial Integrations: Design partnership structures across technology integrations, co-sell arrangements, ISV partnerships, and OEM deals. Scope technical integration requirements directly with partner engineering teams and negotiate the commercial terms alongside them.
  • Own the Partner Lifecycle: Manage the full arc of a partnership — pipeline generation, technical scoping, commercial negotiation, legal review, launch, and ongoing account growth — with less structure and more ambiguity than a mature partner program.
  • Translate Product Fit into Partner Value: Work closely with Product and Engineering to understand where Together's model serving and inference capabilities offer a genuine wedge into a partner's ecosystem, and translate that into a partnership pitch that resonates with partner stakeholders.
  • Drive Joint Go-to-Market: Partner with Marketing and Sales to build joint co-sell motions, marketplace listings, and case studies that demonstrate real distribution impact from launched partnerships.
