About The Position

HealthLeap is building an AI operating system to help care teams identify hospitalized patients who need intervention, aiming to improve health outcomes and generate revenue. The company has experienced significant growth in contracted revenue and expanded across leading health systems. HealthLeap is approximately 25 people, has raised over $32M, and is SF-based with a hybrid-friendly approach. This role involves owning the end-to-end deployment of HealthLeap's AI solution in hospitals, from initial requirements gathering through go-live and stabilization. The position requires close collaboration with hospital clinical leaders, IT teams, and executives, as well as HealthLeap's engineers. The role starts as a senior individual contributor with the expectation of building and leading the implementation team as the company grows.

Requirements

5+ years of experience leading complex, customer-facing software implementations or technical product delivery, including launches involving multiple teams on the customer's side.
Exceptional project management skills, including managing concurrent work, surfacing risks early, driving decisions, and ensuring follow-through.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to discuss technical issues with analysts, workflow decisions with clinicians, and changes in plans with executives.
Hands-on technical judgment, including proficiency in writing SQL, reading API documentation and sample payloads, tracing data flows, and verifying delivered behavior.
Experience in translating ambiguous customer needs into a first working implementation.

Nice To Haves

Experience leading implementations involving Epic, Cerner, or another EHR, or experience working within a hospital's EHR environment.
Experience delivering integrations involving HL7, FHIR, or other clinical data exchange standards.
Experience building an implementation process that improved the reliability of later launches.

Responsibilities

Lead several hospital deployments concurrently, managing plans, owners, decisions, dependencies, dates, and risks.
Collaborate with clinicians and hospital teams to understand workflows and translate ambiguous requests into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.
Independently test endpoints, inspect data feeds, API responses, and SQL extracts, verifying data against specifications and clinical needs.
Work with engineers to address gaps in product or integration, providing evidence, negotiating tradeoffs, and keeping hospitals informed.
Lead go-live readiness, resolve issues during launch, verify downstream results, and support stabilization.
Develop playbooks, processes, and product requirements based on lessons learned from each hospital deployment to improve future implementations.
