About The Position

Fexel is seeking a fractional Head of Sales who can leverage AI-driven sales scoping to close deals with mid-market manufacturers. The role involves owning the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, and defining the roadmap for sales success. The company is backed by Forum Ventures and founded by a serial entrepreneur with expertise in industrial robotics and AI.

Requirements

  • Experience selling automation or robotics into manufacturing environments.
  • Understanding of selling technology versus selling outcomes on a factory floor.
  • Knowledge of the mid-market manufacturing world (companies with 50-500 employees).
  • Understanding of shorter sales cycles and decision-makers like plant managers.
  • Experience selling through or alongside system integrators (SIs).
  • Understanding of how SIs evaluate new products, sell to their customers, and what makes a partnership effective.
  • Experience in automation, robotics, or adjacent industrial tech.
  • 7-10+ years of experience building trust and reputation in the industry.
  • Track record in B2B sales.
  • Authorized to work in the US.

  • Ability to explain ROI to a plant manager without a slide deck.

Responsibilities

  • Build the pipeline and define the roadmap to closing mid-market manufacturers.
  • Partner with the Founder to scope and package deals.
  • Own the full sales cycle — from prospecting through close.
  • Work with core verticals including palletizing, warehouse/3PL automation, and lab automation.
