We are looking for a Head of Sales Management, Aroma Ingredients Americas to join our Aroma Ingredients team in Nutrition & Health. We offer aroma ingredients for many applications, such as fragrance creations like perfumes, shampoo, soaps, detergents and cleaners, fine fragrances, air care and more as well as for diverse flavor compositions. In this role, you will lead the commercial strategy, key account management, and sales function for Aroma Ingredients across the Americas region, ensuring strong customer engagement, profitable growth, and seamless execution of commercial excellence processes in full alignment with our global Aroma Ingredients strategy. The role entails an estimated 25–30% travel requirement.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field (advanced degree/MBA preferred).
  • Bring 8–10 years of commercial experience in sales, key account management, or business development within the chemicals, ingredients, or related B2B sectors.
  • Demonstrate strong strategic thinking, commercial and financial acumen, and the ability to lead teams in complex stakeholder environments.
  • Communicate effectively at senior levels and build strong cross‑functional relationships.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for driving sustainable, customer‑centric growth.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing the regional go‑to‑market, account, and customer portfolio strategies in alignment with the global Aroma Ingredients strategy.
  • Translating global direction into regional commercial plans that drive profitable growth and market penetration.
  • Monitoring and interpreting market trends, competitive movements, and customer developments to inform strategic decision‑making.
  • Leading the regional sales team toward achieving Net Sales, CM1, pipeline, and strategic account targets.
  • Steering the regional opportunity pipeline, ensuring accuracy in forecasting, prioritization of high‑value opportunities, and consistent execution of commercial excellence processes.
  • Managing pricing execution and contract negotiations in close collaboration with Product Management and Global Business Management.
  • Serving as a senior interface with key customers across the Americas, cultivating relationships with decision‑makers and senior stakeholders.
  • Leading escalation management and coordinating cross‑functional teams to resolve customer issues.
  • Identifying and closing growth opportunities with global and regional key accounts while modeling best‑in‑class customer focus.
  • Leading the annual operational (budgeting) process for the Americas region, setting sales, pricing, and profitability targets.
  • Supporting mid‑ and long‑term strategic planning, contributing regional insights to global business strategy and portfolio decisions.
  • Leading, developing, and inspiring a high‑performing sales and account management team across the Americas.
  • Recruiting, coaching, and ensuring succession planning for key commercial roles.
