Head of Resilience & Network

Altana•Washington, DC
•$200,000 - $250,000•Hybrid

About The Position

Altana is the network for trusted trade. Our AI-powered product network empowers governments and businesses to build a more resilient and secure global economy while keeping trade flowing. The Opportunity at Altana Altana's Global Public Sector (GPS) team helps government customers work through hard problems in global trade and supply chains, and it's growing fast. As GPS scales, we're organizing around three domain verticals — Customs & Trade, Resilience & Network, and Policy & National Security — and we're hiring the founding Head of Resilience & Network to grow, manage, and run that business globally. This is a foundational business development role — a chance to build a business, not just join one. You'll own the growth of Resilience & Network end to end: where the opportunity is, how Altana is positioned to win it, which relationships and contract paths get us there, and the team that makes it happen. Success comes from shaping opportunities early, navigating how the government actually buys, and turning long-term agency bets into won programs — building a durable book of business over time. You'll be the senior Altana relationship for the agency decision-makers who matter, acting as a thought partner who helps them move through technology transformation. You'll partner closely with the VP of Global Public Sector, Government Affairs, Capture, Product, Delivery and Implementation, Marketing, Finance/Accounting, and executive leadership. For the right operator, this is some of the most ambitious and rewarding work of a career.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in public-sector sales and revenue growth leadership, with a track record of growing the pipeline and the team.
  • Deep knowledge of how the public sector actually buys: you've shaped opportunities and made real calls on deal strategies with an understanding of different contracting mechanisms.
  • A network across government and industry you can activate, and the credibility to operate at the senior level.
  • A builder's instinct: you've led complex efforts, you operate effectively through influence, and you're energized by standing up something new.
  • The ability to carry complex, high-intellectual-content software into government; fluency in trade, supply chains, geopolitics, and national security use cases is a strong plus.
  • Excellent judgment and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders independently and translate complex value into a clear case.
  • The patience and optimism to prevail in long government procurement cycles.
  • Eligibility to obtain and hold a U.S. Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Own Altana's revenue growth for Resilience & Network — carry the number, and translate strategy into a concrete plan and a focused set of high-value target agencies.
  • Manage a field of sellers and own their pipeline and forecast, pursuing complex, large-scale government opportunities that reflect strategic vision and long-term agency bets — with honest rigor about what's real, what's at risk, and what it will take to land.
  • Build and own the Resilience & Network pipeline and forecast, pursuing complex, large-scale government opportunities that reflect strategic vision and long-term agency bets — with honest rigor about what's real, what's at risk, and what it will take to land.

  • Develop relationships across agencies, from the operational level to the strategic, and build the trusted standing that keeps opening the next opportunity.

  • Work alongside the other Head of Resilience & Network leaders to position Altana across the full set of GPS and company-wide objectives, so the verticals add up to more than the sum of their parts.
  • Anticipate what each pursuit will require and surface those needs internally early, coordinating across teams you don't directly control.
  • Feed Resilience & Network signal — budget cycles, policy shifts, competitive intel, real agency needs — into Product, pricing, and company strategy, and own the personas and mission outcomes that help drive the product roadmap.
