About The Position

Paired is expanding into relationship coaching and counseling, and we are seeking an exceptional leader to build and scale this new business line. In this entrepreneurial role, you’ll have full ownership of building Paired’s relationship coaching and counseling offering from the ground up. You’ll define the offering, recruit and manage relationship coaches/therapists, and work closely with our team to integrate these services deeply into the Paired experience. You will be at the head of this emerging business line, owning growth, customer outcomes, operational excellence, and long-term commercial success. This is a unique opportunity to shape an entirely new category at the intersection of coaching, relationships, and technology — backed by the audience, brand, and resources of the #1 app for couples.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in coaching, therapy, counseling, or relationship support industries, including some direct client work
  • Experience building, hiring, and managing coaching or therapy teams
  • Strong understanding of relationship support methodologies, frameworks, and customer needs
  • Experience creating educational content, training programs, or coaching curricula
  • Operational mindset with the ability to design scalable systems and processes
  • Excellent people management and leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop coaches
  • Data-driven mindset with experience using customer insights and metrics to improve outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with comfort operating in ambiguity and building businesses from zero to one
  • A true passion for relationships, coaching/therapy, and helping couples improve their connection

Nice To Haves

  • Deep app experience within relationship coaching, couples therapy, or adjacent wellness categories
  • Accreditation or formal training in coaching, counseling, psychology, or therapy
  • Experience building coaching or therapy businesses from an early stage
  • Familiarity with digital health, wellness, or marketplace-style operational models
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment
  • Experience integrating coaching or educational experiences into consumer apps or subscription businesses

Responsibilities

  • Develop and launch Paired’s relationship coaching and counseling offering
  • Define the services model, customer journey, and operational structure for the MVP and beyond
  • Establish KPIs and success metrics across acquisition, engagement, retention, session quality, and customer outcomes
  • Conduct ongoing market and competitor research to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth
  • Partner with leadership to shape the long-term vision for relationship support within Paired
  • Define Paired’s philosophy, frameworks, and approach regarding relationship support
  • Design structured couples session frameworks and customer experiences
  • Build training materials, playbooks, and educational content for coaches and customers
  • Collaborate with Product and Content teams to integrate relationship coaching and counseling services, insights, and homework loops into the Paired app experience
  • Define operational safeguards, escalation procedures, and quality standards
  • Recruit and manage a high-quality network of relationship coaches and therapists
  • Build systems for coach training, quality assurance, performance management, and ongoing development
  • Create a strong relationship services culture focused on customer outcomes, empathy, and operational excellence
  • Develop scalable processes for scheduling, matching, and coach utilization
  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction and relationship coaching effectiveness through feedback and data analysis
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering, CRM, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless relationship coaching experience
  • Help define intake flows, matching systems, session logistics, and customer support processes
  • Support the implementation and optimization of operational tools including scheduling and video platforms
  • Ensure the relationship coaching experience integrates naturally into the wider Paired product ecosystem
  • Ensure coaches operate within agreed scope and guidelines
  • Maintain high standards of customer care, professionalism, and ethical practice
