About The Position

Soccer Shots is the leader in youth soccer for children ages 2–8. Our programs are high-energy, fun, and character-driven, and we’re passionate about making a positive impact on kids, families, and communities. Soccer Shots of DuPage County is growing, and we’re looking for a fun, energetic leader to guide our coaching team and help deliver an exceptional experience on and off the field. The Director of Coaching is a full-time leadership role responsible for training, mentoring, and supporting our coaches while also coaching up to 10 sessions per week. This position is perfect for someone who loves working with kids, enjoys leading people, and thrives in an active, upbeat environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children (youth sports, education, childcare, or related fields)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• High energy, positivity, and reliability
• Comfortable managing and motivating a team
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

• Soccer experience preferred but not required (we provide training)

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new coaches
• Lead coach trainings, meetings, and on-field evaluations
• Provide regular feedback, mentorship, and support
• Coach up to 10 Soccer Shots sessions per week
• Model high-energy, engaging, and professional coaching
• Step in for coverage as needed to ensure program quality
• Ensure all sessions follow Soccer Shots curriculum and standards
• Assist with coach scheduling and staffing needs
• Partner with ownership to support program growth
• Build a positive, fun, and supportive coaching culture
• Communicate clearly with coaches, families, and partners
• Represent Soccer Shots with professionalism and enthusiasm
