About The Position

Nuro is seeking a Head of Product to spearhead the company's product strategy and roadmap during its commercialization and scaling phase. This is a highly technical, customer-focused leadership role for an individual passionate about building at the intersection of autonomy, AI, robotics, operations, partner integration, and commercial deployment. The Head of Product will ensure Nuro develops the necessary long-term autonomy products for expansion across various customers, geographies, vehicle platforms, and use cases, while also representing Nuro's technical capabilities externally and converting commercialization opportunities into internal product requirements.

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex technical products.
  • 5+ years of experience leading product teams or product organizations.
  • Experience working closely with technical teams on complex products, platforms, infrastructure, AI/ML systems, robotics, autonomy, enterprise platforms, or similarly complex technical domains.
  • Demonstrated experience translating customer, partner, or market requirements into product strategy, technical requirements, and product roadmaps.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, AI/ML, mapping, simulation, fleet operations, logistics, mobility, or other complex physical-world systems where safety is paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Own Nuro’s product strategy and roadmap, defining and driving the company-level product roadmap for the Nuro Driver and related commercialization products.
  • Identify the highest-value product bets, clarify tradeoffs, and ensure Nuro’s roadmap is grounded in customer needs, technical feasibility, operational readiness, and business impact.
  • Translate customer needs into technical requirements by working closely with customers and partners to understand their technical, operational, and commercial requirements, then translating those needs into clear product requirements and technical priorities.
  • Ensure teams have the context, clarity, and specifications needed to build the right product for commercialization.
  • Partner deeply across technical and operational teams, including Autonomy, Systems, Infrastructure, Data, Operations, Program Management, Business Development, and Legal, to understand capabilities, constraints, tradeoffs, and the impact of product decisions on autonomy performance, scalability, safety, and deployment readiness.
  • Shape the commercialization roadmap by defining how Nuro scales autonomy across customers, markets, geographies, operating domains, and vehicle platforms, connecting the long-term autonomy roadmap with near-term commercial milestones.
  • Serve as an executive product voice, representing the product roadmap across the executive team and with key external partners, bringing structure to complex decisions, communicating tradeoffs clearly, and ensuring product strategy aligns with company strategy.
