Head of Product

Hello PatientAustin, TX

About The Position

Hello Patient is looking for a Head of Product to define and scale how product decisions are made across the company. As our product surface area continues to expand, you'll serve as the bridge among customers, engineering, operations, and executive leadership, building strong trust across teams and ensuring we build the right products in the right order for the right reasons. You'll own product strategy, roadmap prioritization, customer discovery, and product execution across multiple teams. We're looking for a senior IC product leader with exceptional product sense, strong execution, and deep curiosity about customer problems. You'll work directly with customers and internal teams, uncovering opportunities, writing PRDs, shaping product strategy, partnering closely with engineering & operations, and leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate product development. Working directly with the CEO, engineering, and operations leadership, you'll bring clarity to complex decisions, create alignment across teams, and help establish the systems and processes that enable us to scale not just our product but also our internal teams, so each person at Hello Patient becomes more high-leverage with AI workflows. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable debating strategy, diving into workflow details with customers, and rolling up their sleeves to turn ideas into shipped products. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on owning product strategy and outcomes while helping build the foundation of the product function at Hello Patient. Although the scope may evolve over time, this role does not include people management responsibilities initially. When appropriate, we expect you to build and ship products yourself, not just direct the engineering teams.

  • Experience writing high-quality PRDs and driving products from concept through launch.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and challenge stakeholders through thoughtful, data-driven debate.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in highly technical environments.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered products, workflows, or developer tooling.

  • Lead customer discovery efforts, including regular onsite visits and customer feedback.
  • Partner closely with customers to uncover workflow opportunities and identify high-impact product investments.
  • Translate customer feedback and business requirements into clear product specifications and PRDs that engineering teams can execute on.
  • Act as the primary bridge between executive leadership, engineering, and product stakeholders.
  • Partner with engineering leads to ensure clarity on priorities, tradeoffs, and success metrics.
  • Build and improve product processes that enable the company to scale efficiently.
