Head of Product Marketing

JazzBoston, MA

About The Position

Jazz is seeking a Head of Product Marketing to own the company's narrative from end-to-end. This role involves sharpening how Jazz is understood by buyers, analysts, and the field, and building the product marketing function from scratch. It's a player-coach position where the individual will set the strategy and execute it. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in product marketing that has moved the market, particularly within B2B security startups or growth-stage companies.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product marketing, with at least 3 years in B2B security.
  • Experience at a startup or growth-stage company with a history of taking ownership.
  • Proven end-to-end ownership of messaging and positioning for a technical product.
  • Direct experience working with sales teams, including building battlecards and enablement materials.
  • Analyst relations experience with Gartner, Forrester, or IDC.
  • Exceptional writing skills, capable of producing crisp positioning documents, one-pagers, website copy, and technical content quickly and to a high standard.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how security actually works.
  • Strong editorial judgment, maintaining honest and defensible messaging.
  • Self-directed, able to identify needs and follow through without constant supervision.
  • Comfortable operating with incomplete information and making decisions in an early-stage environment.

Nice To Haves

  • DLP, insider risk, or adjacent data security experience (identity, cloud, endpoint).

Responsibilities

  • Own the Jazz narrative E2E - sharpen it, protect it, and ensure it withstands competitive pressure and analyst scrutiny.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, including battlecards, talk tracks, demo narratives, and objection handling guides, to help AEs and SEs articulate the Jazz difference.
  • Conduct ongoing win/loss analysis and manage relationships with industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) to maintain market positioning.
  • Partner with Customer Success to create case studies, adoption content, and programs that foster customer advocacy.
  • Design and build the product marketing function from scratch, including systems, processes, and content strategy, with no inherited infrastructure.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to build a function from scratch with real ownership.
  • High proximity to founders and product from day one.
  • Work that shapes company strategy.
  • A bold brand voice valued in the security space.
  • Strong proof points in the market (CrowdStrike, AWS, NVIDIA Startup Nest winner, 20 customers, backed by Glilot and Team8).
