Head of Personalization Intelligence

Bank of America•Washington, DC
•$200,000 - $264,800•Onsite

About The Position

The Head of Personalization Intelligence leads the data, analytical, and insight capabilities that power personalized client experiences. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Analytics & Information Executive, this leader builds and advances an integrated intelligence layer spanning signal development, client personas and insights, lifetime value, analytical intelligence, and measurement. The role advances the organization toward a dynamic, individual-level understanding of clients, including timely and real-time insights and signals, and partners with Product, Marketing, Technology, and Enablement to translate intelligence into experiences across channels. The role establishes a connected, reusable ecosystem across client understanding, signals, value, analytics, and measurement. It develops common frameworks and governance, translates behavioral, transactional, engagement, and other available data into actionable insights, and shapes the data and analytical capabilities needed to make intelligence available to downstream platforms at the point of interaction. The Head establishes organization-wide measurement and experimentation approaches, including methods for evaluating incrementality, client and business outcomes, and longer-term value. Feedback from interactions and outcomes is used to improve signals, personas, models, lifetime-value frameworks, and future insights. The role is accountable for the underlying data, signals, analytical methodologies, client insights, personas, lifetime-value frameworks, and measurement capabilities, while partnering with other functions on activation and downstream execution. The leader also builds and develops a high-performing team spanning analytics, data science, decision science, client insights, and measurement.

Requirements

  • Senior leadership experience in personalization, client analytics, decision science, data science, marketing analytics, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable analytics and personalization capabilities.
  • Deep expertise in areas such as segmentation, behavioral signals, predictive modeling, lifetime value, experimentation, incrementality, and measurement.
  • Experience applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI to client intelligence and personalization.
  • Experience partnering with Technology teams to operationalize analytical capabilities and advance real-time use cases.
  • Strong track record working across Product, Marketing, Data, Analytics, and Technology organizations.
  • Ability to translate complex analytical capabilities into clear business strategies and influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the strategy for data and intelligence capabilities that enable personalization.
  • Build a connected ecosystem across signals, client understanding, value, analytics, and measurement, with reusable frameworks across products and channels.
  • Advance client intelligence toward dynamic, individual-level, predictive, and real-time insights and signals.
  • Lead the development of personas, segments, client insights, and analytical frameworks based on client needs, behaviors, preferences, and opportunities.
  • Integrate behavioral, transactional, engagement, and other available data to develop a holistic view of clients and translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Lead the development of scalable, reusable signals that identify changes in client behavior, needs, intent, engagement, and opportunity; determine which signals should move toward real-time availability.
  • Establish standards and governance for personalization data, signals, analytics, and measurement.
  • Lead the development and evolution of lifetime-value methodologies and analytical approaches that balance near-term opportunities with longer-term client value.
  • Partner with Technology and Enablement to define requirements and operationalize scalable data and analytical capabilities across channels, including capabilities for dynamic and real-time intelligence.
  • Shape data and analytical architecture with Technology and ensure outputs are structured for consistent consumption by downstream platforms and channels.
  • Establish a consistent personalization measurement framework and methodologies for measuring incrementality, client outcomes, business outcomes, and longer-term value.
  • Advance experimentation and test-and-learn approaches that distinguish correlation from incremental impact.
  • Create feedback loops that use channel interactions and outcomes to improve signals, personas, models, lifetime value, and future insights.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team across analytics, data science, decision science, client insights, and measurement.
  • Partner across Product, Marketing, Technology, Enablement, Data, and Analytics, and influence senior stakeholders across organizational boundaries.
