Head of Performance Creative

Commure•Mountain View, CA

About The Position

Commure is hiring a hands-on Head of Performance Creative to own the creative engine behind paid growth. The role is focused on creating distinct, customer-true concepts for paid advertising, especially on Meta, and optimizing them based on customer insight and performance data. The position is not a brand or content-calendar role and is not primarily an agency-management role. The Head of Performance Creative will review customer and sales calls, support tickets, and onboarding notes to identify buyer pains, objections, proof points, and usable customer language. They will turn those findings into concepts, produce ads using AI tools and a small creator bench, launch and quality-check campaigns, analyze results, and develop subsequent tests. The role owns the creative pipeline for paid accounts end to end, with a potential path to building a team as the creative engine develops. Success is measured by qualified pipeline per dollar of creative spend. The role reports to the VP of Growth Operations and works directly with Sales, RevOps, and Product. The person will also help maintain consistency across ads, landing pages, forms, and initial SDR outreach, and adapt winning concepts for additional channels as they open. Employees must follow Commure's information security policies, report confirmed or potential security events or organizational risks, and attest to these requirements upon hire and annually.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in performance creative or creative strategy for paid social.
  • A portfolio of ads personally made and concepts scaled to meaningful spend.
  • Hands-on creative and ad-account experience across major paid channels, including Meta, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok; practical knowledge of account structure, launch mechanics, testing cadence, creative formats, optimization signals, and winning concepts on each platform.
  • Personally created scripts, static ads, and short videos that drove direct-response results; briefing others alone is insufficient.
  • Working SQL skills to retrieve lead-level and creative-level data, join advertising results to CRM outcomes, and analyze ad-account performance without an analyst.
  • Comfort analyzing results that arrive weeks later and working with small samples.
  • Daily, systematic use of AI for research, writing, and image and video work, with the ability to demonstrate workflows and explain what was tried and dropped.
  • A habit of learning from customer conversations and preference for listening to calls over relying on persona documents.
  • Experience running a high-volume creative pipeline, including footage libraries, creator briefs, editing queues, and launch checklists.
  • Experience working directly with customers or creators to make content and ability to direct someone on camera.
  • A bias toward shipping and initiative in creating what is needed when it does not yet exist.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building and running a creator or UGC pool, including recruiting, briefing, rates, and releases.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, healthcare, or selling to small businesses and clinics.
  • Python skills or a notebook-based analysis habit beyond SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Review customer and sales call recordings, support tickets, and onboarding notes to maintain a map of buyer pains, objections, and proof points, and a library of approved verbatim quotes.
  • Turn customer insight into a steady stream of structurally distinct creative concepts, each with a hypothesis and kill metric; manage modular testing and decide what enters testing and what scales.
  • Produce static and short-video ads using AI generation, editing, and voice tools, drawing on existing calls, testimonials, founder clips, and product captures; write scripts, edit footage or brief editors, and ship finished ads.
  • Aim to introduce six or more new concepts into testing each week during the first 90 days.
  • Recruit, brief, and direct clinicians, practice owners, and UGC creators for testimonial and founder-style content; manage consent, releases, and claims compliance.
  • Build and launch campaigns in Meta Ads Manager, including naming conventions, ad copy, headlines, placements, and UTMs; inspect placement renders before launch.
  • Analyze ad-account and dashboard performance without an analyst, including hook rate, hold rate, cost per qualified lead by concept and audience, and cohorts accounting for the multi-week sales cycle; distinguish creative effects from audience effects and stop underperforming tests quickly.
  • Develop and improve AI-supported workflows, including prompt libraries, generation pipelines, and agents that score tests and surface quotes; review AI outputs before they are shipped.
  • Keep ad copy, landing pages, forms, and the first SDR touch consistent, working with Sales and RevOps to address discrepancies.
  • Repurpose winning creative concepts for LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google as those channels open.
  • Follow information security policies, protect organizational assets from unauthorized access or other interference, report confirmed or potential security events and risks, and attest to the requirements upon hire and annually.
