About The Position

This is the top of the creative house. As Head of Performance Creative, you own the Creative Service Line end-to-end — the strategy, the people, the performance, and the outcomes. You lead Creative Pod Managers, build the systems they run on, and hold the standard that every pod is measured against. You're not here to review work. You're here to build leaders who build great work — and to make sure that creative output translates directly into client growth, retention, and revenue. When a Pod Manager is out, you step in completely. No gaps, no dropped balls, no loss of client confidence. If you love leading leaders, obsessing over creative quality, and tying everything back to what actually moves the business — this role was built for you. Our agency runs on a pod model built for speed and specialization. Each Pod is made up of three individual contributors: a Creative Strategist, a Video Editor, and a Creator Manager (UGC Coordinator). A Creative Lead (Pod Manager) oversees two pods and owns client communication. The Head of Performance Creative — this role — manages five to six Creative Leads across the full service line. We're a fast-growing ad creative agency on a mission to produce the best-performing video ads in the game. We partner with 7–8 figure eCommerce brands spending $100K+ per month on ads, helping them beat ad fatigue, unlock creative breakthroughs, and scale profitably. Our team operates fully remote with a pod structure that lets us move fast, specialize deeply, and deliver creative that converts. We don't just make ads. We build creative systems that drive growth.

Requirements

  • Proven senior creative leadership experience at an ad creative agency
  • Deep expertise in paid social creative strategy, especially Meta, for DTC and eCommerce brands
  • Track record of managing and developing leaders — not just ICs
  • Strong grasp of agency operations, delivery, and margin management
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and decision-making skills
  • A performance-first mindset with real business acumen

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop Creative Pod Managers
  • Coach and mentor your Pod Managers on both creative strategy and team management.
  • Set clear standards, scorecards, and expectations for pod performance, quality, and client communication.
  • Hire and onboard new Pod Managers as the team scales.
  • Support them in developing their own ICs and running efficient, high-output pods.
  • Step in fully when a Pod Manager is out — owning client strategy, internal coordination, and delivery without disruption.
  • Own the creative strategy playbook.
  • Review pod-level performance regularly to catch risks early and scale what's working.
  • Step into key accounts, escalations, or underperforming pods when course correction is needed.
  • Turn creative wins into repeatable frameworks the entire team can run.
  • Accountable for the Creative Service Line's core metrics: client retention, ad spend growth driven by creative performance, on-time delivery, and Creative Service Margin.
  • Spot churn risks before they become churn, and you work with Pod Managers to close the gap.
  • Design and continuously improve the workflows, quality standards, and operating frameworks that keep the service line fast, consistent, and profitable.
  • Identify bottlenecks and margin leaks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Operations to keep creative aligned with business goals.
