About The Position

Solstice is redefining how life sciences organizations commercialize their therapeutics by building a commercial engine that allows pharmaceutical marketers to launch campaigns at 100x the speed. The company is experiencing rapid growth, working with over 50+ pharma brands and is at the forefront of technology, experimenting with AI, LLMs, and new frameworks. Solstice is backed by top-tier investors and is seeking a dedicated individual to join their elite team. This is a rare opportunity to be the founding HR hire at a fast-growing AI company in life sciences. The role involves owning the entire people function from day one, building processes, culture, and team infrastructure. The position is designed to grow into Head of HR as the company expands. The role's time will be split between Talent Acquisition (60%) and Internal HR & People Operations (40%).

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of HR or people experience, with a strong emphasis on recruiting — ideally at a high-growth startup
  • Proven track record of owning full-cycle recruiting across technical and non-technical roles
  • Hands-on experience building HR programs from scratch: performance reviews, handbooks, comp frameworks
  • Comfortable being the only HR person in the room — you’re energized by building, not maintaining
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters
  • Excellent communicator who can work closely with founders and individual contributors alike
  • Organized, process-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a healthcare, life sciences, or B2B SaaS company
  • Familiarity with tools like Greenhouse, Rippling, Lattice, or similar HR/ATS platforms
  • Experience scaling a people function from seed to Series A or beyond

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across all functions — engineering, commercial, operations, and beyond
  • Partner with founders and hiring managers to define role requirements, leveling, and hiring bar
  • Build and manage a pipeline of top candidates through sourcing, referrals, and employer brand
  • Design a structured, consistent interview process that scales with the team
  • Track recruiting metrics and iterate on what’s working
  • Manage relationships with recruiting agencies and external partners as needed
  • Establish and run the performance review process, including goal-setting frameworks and calibration
  • Own total rewards and benefits — evaluate, negotiate, and manage the company’s comp and benefits stack
  • Write and maintain the company handbook, covering policies, culture, and people practices
  • Support onboarding to ensure new hires ramp quickly and feel set up for success
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee questions, concerns, and development
  • Build the HR infrastructure (HRIS, tools, workflows) that the company will run on as it grows
