About The Position

Pointr is seeking a Head of People & Culture for the US to lead its global people function. This role serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, responsible for developing and executing a people strategy to support the company's growth from 150 employees to its next phase. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution across talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, learning and development, employee experience, and people operations. The Head of People & Culture will lead a globally distributed team, fostering cohesion across different cultures and time zones, and will work closely with the CEO on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive HR/People experience.
  • At least 3 years as a senior people leader in a fast-growing tech company (ideally B2B SaaS, 100-300 person scale).
  • Proven experience as a strategic partner to a CEO or founder.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading global, distributed people teams across multiple cultures (US plus Europe or EMEA strongly preferred).
  • Deep expertise across talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and HRIS.
  • Hands-on familiarity with modern people tools (HRIS, engagement, ATS platforms).
  • Strong commercial acumen, including headcount planning, budget management, and translating people decisions into business outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts and multi-state US employment law.
  • International employment exposure (Turkey, UK, EU) strongly preferred.
  • Experience scaling people functions through funding rounds, M&A, or rapid headcount growth.
  • Passion for building inclusive, high-performing cultures across geographies.

  • Experience with Sage HR, Culture Amp, and Ashby, or equivalent platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted thought partner to the CEO and leadership team on organizational design, headcount planning, talent strategy, and culture.
  • Lead the development and execution of Pointr's global people strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals across the US, UK, Turkey, and other geographies.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed people team across multiple cultures and time zones.
  • Own the talent acquisition function end-to-end, including hiring plans, sourcing strategy, recruiter performance, agency partnerships, and candidate experience for both technical and Go-To-Market roles.
  • Build scalable people operations, HRIS, compensation, and total rewards programs that function effectively across multiple countries and employment models.
  • Manage a performance management framework that supports career progression, clear feedback, and high standards.
  • Develop role-based competency frameworks, leveling, and personal development plans to provide clarity on growth opportunities for team members.
  • Drive employee engagement through pulse surveys, listening forums, manager training, and cultural programs that strengthen cross-geographical connections.
  • Act as a culture carrier, modeling and reinforcing Pointr's values (Ownership, Harmony, Scale) in all hiring, performance, and recognition decisions.
  • Oversee HR compliance and risk management across US states and international entities, collaborating with legal counsel as necessary.
