About The Position

Whop is hiring a Head of Payment Relations to own relationships with its payment partners end to end and turn those relationships into a strategic advantage. The role monitors payment partner risk and performance and works closely with the Head of Compliance to identify and resolve compliance issues. The position is based in Palo Alto, California, and is full-time and in office. Whop’s mission is to deliver everyone a sustainable income. Requirements

Experience in account management, partner management, or payments risk at a PSP, acquirer, high-volume merchant, or platform.
Fluency in disputes and chargebacks, card network monitoring programs, and how processors make risk decisions.
A track record of building trusted relationships with senior partner contacts and pushing back when needed.
An ownership mindset: identify what needs to be done and do it without being asked.
Ability to manage payment partner relationships with speed, rigor, and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

Own relationships with payment partners and run weekly check-ins with each partner.
Monitor dispute and chargeback rates, card network program exposure, reserves, and fines across partners, and identify problems before they escalate.
Work closely with the Head of Compliance to flag and resolve compliance issues quickly.
