About The Position

Whop is building a platform intended to help people earn a sustainable income. More than 50,000 people currently make money on Whop each month, and the company says users are expected to earn more than $7 billion this year. Whop’s broader goal is for 1 billion people to earn money on the platform each month. The Head of Payment Relations will own relationships with Whop’s payment partners end to end and develop those relationships into a strategic advantage. The role monitors payment partner risk and works closely with the Head of Compliance to identify and resolve compliance issues. This is a full-time, in-office position in Palo Alto, California.

Requirements

Experience in account management, partner management, or payments risk at a PSP, acquirer, high-volume merchant, or platform.
Fluency in disputes and chargebacks, card network monitoring programs, and how processors make risk decisions.
A track record of building trusted relationships with senior partner contacts and pushing back when needed.
An ownership mindset: identifying what needs to be done and doing it without being asked.

Responsibilities

Own relationships with payment partners and hold weekly check-ins with each partner.
Monitor dispute and chargeback rates, card network program exposure, reserves, and fines across partners, identifying problems before they escalate.
Work closely with the Head of Compliance to flag and resolve compliance issues quickly.
