Head of Operations
About The Position
The Head of Operations leads Archetype AI’s business functions, including finance, people, legal, compliance, and administration. Reporting to the COO and working closely with the CEO, this executive leadership team member drives core business operations so the founders can focus on product, customers, and growth. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution. Working with outsourced accounting, legal counsel, and insurance partners, the Head of Operations will build operational infrastructure, manage external partners, and determine when to expand internal finance and people teams. Responsibilities include financial modeling and forecasting, monthly close, financial reporting to leadership and the Board, cash-flow and budget management, and people operations for a distributed team.
Requirements
- Financial expertise and hands-on experience running finance operations.
- Experience in HR or people operations.
- Strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the financial model, forecasting, and monthly close in partnership with outsourced accounting.
- Present financial updates to leadership and the Board.
- Prepare monthly executive updates and quarterly board materials detailing revenue, bookings, burn rate, and runway.
- Manage cash flow, spend controls, vendor approvals through Ramp, wire authorization, department budgets, and annual fiscal planning.
- Manage performance management, onboarding, offboarding, background checks, and immigration processes.
- Lead company All-Hands meetings and drive employee engagement across a distributed team.
- Build operational infrastructure and manage outsourced accounting, legal counsel, and insurance partners.
- Determine when to scale internal finance and people teams.
