About The Position

The Head of Military & Law Enforcement (M&LE) Sales and Operations leads Colt’s global M&LE operations, overseeing all aspects of business growth and sales worldwide. This role is responsible for finding and developing new business opportunities, as well as expanding Colt’s presence in the M&LE market. Reporting directly to the Colt CEO (a member of the North American Board of Directors) and the Colt CZ Group Chief Commercial Officer (a member of the Colt CZ Group Board of Directors), the Head of Military & Law Enforcement Sales and Operations, manages a team that includes the Vice President of International M&LE Sales, Vice President of U.S. Government and Law Enforcement Sales, Senior Director of M&LE Contracts and Programs, Director of International Sales Operations, and Manager of Special Weapons Armorers.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience, with a significant portion focused on international markets and/or M&LE channels.
  • Deep knowledge of the defense / firearms industry, including relevant regulations, procurement cycles, and decision-making processes.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning and managing large, complex accounts, especially government and law enforcement contracts.
  • Proven ability to lead teams across multiple time zones, cultures, and languages.
  • Strong business acumen, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and strategic planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, at both the executive and operational level.
  • Ability to travel internationally as needed (up to 50%).

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the global M&LE sales strategy, aligned with company objectives, including clear ownership and delivery of sales targets.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing global sales organization, fostering accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key government agencies, military procurement authorities, law enforcement organizations, and international partners.
  • Oversee bids, tenders, and major negotiations, ensuring full compliance with applicable regulations (e.g. ITAR and export controls).
  • Ensure successful cross-department planning and execution on M&LE contracts.
  • Monitor, analyze and report market dynamics (incl. pricing and competitors’ initiatives).
  • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, including emerging markets, partnerships, and new applications.
  • Identify upcoming major procurement programs (long-term horizon).
  • Actively use market intelligence in close alignment with product development and marketing to ensure the portfolio meets market and customer requirements.
  • Represent the company in senior-level customer engagements, industry events, and key international forums.
