About The Position

Neo is seeking a Head of Marketing Technology to rebuild and optimize the company's marketing infrastructure. This role is hands-on, focusing on building, scripting, and integrating systems rather than managing vendors. The ideal candidate will have a blend of engineering and marketing expertise, with a strong ability to code and a deep understanding of marketing principles and growth metrics. You will be responsible for the entire marketing technology stack, ensuring it supports Neo's direct consumer engagement strategy. This position reports to the CIO and will be embedded within the core infrastructure team, working closely with marketing as the primary internal customer.

Requirements

  • Ability to write code: scripts, automations, API integrations, and glue code in Python or JavaScript.
  • Expert-level knowledge of at least one MAP (Iterable, Braze, or SFMC) and CDPs like Segment.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and analysis.
  • Experience building multi-touch attribution models.
  • Experience owning A/B testing infrastructure end-to-end, including framework setup.
  • Understanding of funnel economics (CAC, LTV, cohort retention) and using them to drive decisions.
  • AI-native approach to deploying agents for workflow automation.
  • Proven ability to build lasting solutions with a focus on documentation, QA, and governance.
  • Comfort operating across functions without direct positional authority.
  • 7+ years in MarTech, growth engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Light programming skills in Python or JavaScript; strong SQL.
  • Expert-level experience with marketing automation platforms (Iterable, Braze, or SFMC).
  • Experience with CDPs (Segment or equivalent) and multi-touch attribution modeling.
  • API integration experience, including custom-built integrations.
  • Based in Canada.

  • B2C or consumer fintech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and own the end-to-end marketing technology stack, including tool selection, integration, and replacement strategy.
  • Write scripts, automations, and API integrations using Python or JavaScript to connect systems and facilitate data movement.
  • Own the data schema and governance for customer data across CDP and CRM platforms.
  • Build and maintain multi-touch attribution models across various devices and channels.
  • Set up and embed A/B testing and experimentation frameworks across web and app surfaces.
  • Own the technical SEO and CRO infrastructure, including landing page clusters, conversion instrumentation, and tagging governance.
  • Implement and operate CMS/headless architecture to enable marketing agility without blocking core engineering.
  • Build promotion and voucher management systems to support acquisition and growth programs.
  • Deploy AI agents to automate repetitive MarTech workflows and enhance team productivity.
