About The Position

InVitro Capital is seeking a Head of Marketing & Communications to lead go-to-market strategies across its portfolio, with an initial primary focus on its flagship company, AllCare.ai. This role involves building brands, defining narratives, managing the full marketing engine across all channels, and overseeing public relations and industry presence. The position requires a hands-on leader who can strategize and execute across various marketing disciplines, from brand positioning and PR to demand generation and digital marketing, as well as on-ground activations. The Head of Marketing & Communications will report directly to the CEO and will have the autonomy to build the marketing function from the ground up, including the team, budget, and tools. As InVitro Capital's portfolio companies mature, this role will extend to supporting them and eventually building a dedicated team for portfolio-wide marketing efforts.

Requirements

  • Full-stack marketing and comms leadership experience, with proven results across brand, demand gen, digital, field, and comms.
  • Experience marketing into complex, regulated, relationship-driven industries such as healthcare, senior living, healthtech, or medical devices.
  • Experience building a marketing function from scratch or near-scratch.
  • Belief in narrative-first marketing and the ability to hold strategic conversations with leadership.
  • Proven ability to execute with great taste and rigor, without needing a large team.
  • Portfolio-mindset, with excitement for building multiple brands over time.
  • 10+ years of marketing and communications experience.
  • At least 4 years in a senior leadership role (Head of Marketing, VP Marketing, Head of Communications, CMO, or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated full-funnel ownership (brand, demand, digital, field, and communications) at a high-growth company.
  • Track record of building and leading marketing and communications teams.
  • Experience managing PR and media relations, including direct relationships with reporters, analysts, or trade press.
  • Strong commercial instincts and comfort with pipeline, CAC, LTV, and revenue conversations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort in a high-speed, high-accountability environment.
  • AI-forward mindset and proficiency with modern marketing tools.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Irvine, California.
  • Ability to work on-site.

  • Healthcare press relationships strongly preferred.
  • Senior living, home health, healthtech, medical devices, or adjacent spaces is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own go-to-market across the InVitro portfolio, with AllCare.ai as the immediate priority.
  • Build the brand, define the narrative, and run the full marketing engine across every channel.
  • Own how the company shows up in the press, in the industry, and in the voice of its founders.
  • Manage brand positioning, narrative, visual identity, and voice for AllCare.ai.
  • Own the company's media presence, press strategy, and relationships with healthcare trade press.
  • Manage crisis communications.
  • Position the CEO and leadership team as recognized voices in AI-powered senior care through various channels like podcasts, keynotes, bylines, and LinkedIn.
  • Build and run the engine that drives qualified leads to the sales team through paid, organic, partnerships, and referrals.
  • Execute above-the-line marketing efforts including brand campaigns, PR, thought leadership, and category creation.
  • Execute below-the-line marketing efforts including email campaigns, lifecycle marketing, CRM nurture, webinars, sales enablement content, and case studies.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts including website, SEO, paid media, social media, and content marketing.
  • Plan and execute on-ground activations at industry conferences, operator events, and facility-level launches.
  • Extend marketing playbooks to other InVitro companies as they mature.
  • Partner with the CEO on narrative, positioning, and external storytelling.
  • Own media relationships with reporters, industry analysts, and trade press.
  • Collaborate with Sales and BDR leadership to ensure marketing generates necessary leads and gathers feedback.
  • Build and lead the marketing team, starting lean and hiring deliberately.
  • Own and report on key marketing metrics such as pipeline contribution, CAC, brand awareness, earned media reach, and campaign ROI.
  • Participate in senior leadership meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
  • Be hands-on in executing marketing tasks, including writing copy, drafting press releases, reviewing creative, and managing agencies.
  • Utilize modern tools to operate at a high pace.
