Head of Infrastructure - MoneyPass Group

Fiserv•Remote, Georgia, GA

About The Position

The Head of Infrastructure leads infrastructure and corporate IT for MoneyPass Group (MPG), a newly standalone payments company operating the MoneyPass surcharge-free ATM network, ATM Managed Services and Cash Intelligence software. MPG serves banks, credit unions, fintechs and ATM operators. The company is building its own operating model while some corporate functions continue to rely on Fiserv transition services, so this is a hands-on leadership role involving both operational leadership and direct execution. The role owns relationships with infrastructure and corporate IT managed service providers (MSPs), establishes operational processes and performance measures, and ensures hosting, network, backup and disaster recovery capabilities meet MPG’s needs. It partners with the Head of Security to implement and evidence controls, leads infrastructure and IT readiness for a scoped SOC 2 Type 1 audit, and manages the transition of related IT services away from Fiserv by August 5, 2027 without business disruption. The position also owns the infrastructure and IT budget, reports risks and progress to executive leadership, and promotes responsible, practical AI adoption across infrastructure and corporate IT operations. The role reports to the Chief Information Officer. It has no direct reports at this time, though one or two may be added as demand increases; leadership is primarily through the two MSPs and cross-functional partners. The employee will initially be employed by Fiserv, which will lease the employee’s services to MoneyPass Group through December 31, 2026. Employment with Fiserv will end and transfer to MoneyPass Group on January 1, 2027. The position is remote, but cannot be performed in Colorado, California, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Maine or Washington.

  • Hands-on leadership of at least one SOC 2 Type 1 or Type 2 audit, or comparable audit, from readiness through report.
  • Working knowledge of hybrid and cloud hosting, networking, identity and access management, backup and disaster recovery, and endpoint management.
  • Experience in a regulated industry; payments, banking or fintech experience is ideal.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with executives, auditors and vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a carve-out, spin-off or new company build, including exit from transition services.
  • Experience supporting bank and credit union clients’ vendor-oversight reviews as a service provider.

Responsibilities

  • Own the 11:11 Systems relationship, including contracts, statements of work, service-level agreements, service reviews, escalations and invoices.
  • Define and track infrastructure operational KPIs, including availability, incident response, change success, backup and recovery testing, and patch currency; hold the provider accountable.
  • Ensure hosting, networking, backup and disaster recovery for production platforms meet MPG’s availability and resilience needs.
  • Obtain and review the infrastructure MSP’s assurance reports, such as SOC 1 or SOC 2 reports, and identify complementary user entity controls MPG must operate.
  • Select and onboard a corporate IT MSP, including requirements, RFP, Security due diligence and contracting; then manage its end-user support, devices, identity and access, collaboration tools, and employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Set service levels and a service catalog for employees and conduct regular corporate IT MSP service reviews.
  • Lead the exit from Fiserv transition services for related IT services by August 5, 2027 without business disruption, including supporting data migrations from Fiserv to MPG-owned systems.
  • Partner with the Head of Security to establish a clear RACI, with Security setting policy and risk appetite and Infrastructure implementing and evidencing controls across both MSPs.
  • Jointly own access management, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response and change management with the Head of Security.
  • Conduct joint vendor risk reviews of both MSPs consistent with bank and credit union client vendor-oversight expectations.
  • Lead infrastructure and IT workstreams for a SOC 2 Type 1 audit covering Cash Intelligence and Corporate IT under the Security Trust Services Criterion, with the Head of Security as co-owner.
  • Write or update infrastructure and IT policies and procedures, and ensure controls are designed and in place by the point-in-time audit date.
  • Build repeatable evidence collection into MSP operating rhythms and support auditor selection, readiness assessment, remediation and the audit.
  • Identify and implement practical uses of AI tools and agentic capabilities across infrastructure and corporate IT operations.
  • Use AI-enabled automation to improve service quality, accelerate delivery and maintain efficient operations with lean internal headcount.
  • Promote responsible AI adoption and help employees and partners develop confidence and effective use cases for approved tools.
  • Ensure AI use complies with MPG’s AI governance framework, policies, security requirements, data-handling standards, and applicable legal and regulatory obligations.
  • Own the infrastructure and IT budget, including MSP spend and renewals.
  • Report status, risks and SOC 2 progress to executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with Security, Compliance and Legal on matters involving network rules, Regulation E, BSA/AML or bank vendor-oversight obligations.
