About The Position

Autoland is seeking a Head of Information Technology & Business Systems to lead a significant technology transformation. This executive leader will architect systems, integrations, and data foundations for the company's digital marketplace, connecting consumers, vehicles, and financial institutions. The role involves transitioning from internally developed applications to a modern, platform-based ecosystem. Reporting directly to the President & CEO, this position offers the chance to shape enterprise technology strategy while remaining hands-on in execution. Unlike traditional infrastructure roles, this position focuses on business systems strategy, Salesforce leadership, enterprise architecture, systems integration, data governance, legacy platform modernization, vendor management, and automation/AI-driven transformation. The Head of IT & Business Systems will build the foundation for the next-generation marketplace platform and lead a talented engineering team through a major evolution in technology delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Business Systems, Enterprise Architecture, Systems Integration, Software Engineering, or Data Architecture.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Experience leading enterprise CRM, ERP, or business systems implementations.
  • Hands-on Salesforce experience including architecture, administration, integrations, or data migration.
  • Proven success modernizing legacy technology environments.
  • Strong expertise in APIs, Integration platforms, Data governance, Cloud technologies, Enterprise architecture, and Cybersecurity best practices.
  • Experience managing technology vendors and implementation partners.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

  • Own the company's business systems ecosystem, including Salesforce and future platform investments.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data architecture and system integration strategies.
  • Define system-of-record ownership, data governance standards, and integration frameworks.
  • Design scalable, reliable solutions that enable seamless data sharing across platforms.
  • Lead the migration from proprietary software to modern SaaS and platform-based systems.
  • Evaluate legacy applications and determine platform replacements.
  • Develop and execute migration roadmaps with minimal business disruption.
  • Ensure historical data remains available for reporting, compliance, and analytics.
  • Lead Salesforce implementation, administration, integrations, enhancements, and data strategy.
  • Manage implementation partners and consultants.
  • Ensure delivery quality, security, adoption, and ROI for Salesforce.
  • Evaluate and select technology platforms and strategic vendors.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts, renewals, and service agreements.
  • Oversee managed service providers responsible for IT operations and support.
  • Manage technology investments and operating budgets.
  • Own identity and access management strategy.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, compliance, and infrastructure stakeholders.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, audit readiness, and privacy initiatives.
  • Coach and develop a team transitioning from software development to platform engineering and systems integration.
  • Foster a culture focused on business outcomes, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate automation, AI, and emerging technologies.
  • Implement practical solutions that improve business performance and operational efficiency.
