Kunin Technologies is hiring its first finance leader, with the explicit intent that the person progress to Chief Financial Officer. In the first year, the Head of Finance will own the company's fiduciary foundation while Kunin closes a Seed round, executes a federal pilot award, establishes a first-of-a-kind plant with a partner, and forms a manufacturing joint venture. This includes the monthly close, cash and runway management, government cost accounting, payroll and spend controls, tax, insurance, and board reporting. The stated path is to take on deal structuring in year two and move into the CFO role at or before the Series A, subject to earning the promotion. As the fiduciary foundation solidifies, the role will partner with the CEO on joint venture structures, streaming and royalty-style recovery agreements, offtake agreements, debt and equipment financing, the Series A, and broader capital markets work. By the end of 2026, expectations include a reliable monthly close within ten business days; GAAP books maintained with the outside CPA; monthly cash, runway, and board reporting; government contract accounting, timekeeping, and invoicing able to withstand a DCAA-style review; diligence-ready Seed financials and Series A data room; and ownership of the term sheet and model for at least one financing or commercial structure. The role will also establish a written CFO readiness plan with the CEO. The position will build the finance organization, including future controller and analyst roles and the systems they use. It requires relocation to Chattanooga, Tennessee, regular travel to counterparty sites, investors, and the partner plant, and willingness to work extended hours and weekends frequently around critical project milestones. The candidate must sign Kunin's standard NDA before interviewing.
