About The Position

Warp is seeking a Head of Finance to build and manage the financial operations of a rapidly growing company targeting over $50M in revenue. This role involves partnering closely with the CEO on strategic financial matters, including operating models, board and investor reporting, unit economics, and capital allocation for an $85M-funded, money-moving business. The position requires a hands-on approach initially, with the expectation to build and lead a finance team over time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in finance, including ownership of FP&A and board reporting at a high-growth startup.
  • Deep FP&A and strategic finance expertise, with the ability to build a financial model from scratch and defend its assumptions.
  • Fluency in SaaS metrics, and ideally fintech or payments economics (float, money movement, multi-product ARPU).
  • Proven experience partnering directly with a founder or CEO on decision-making and company building.
  • Ability to be hands-on initially and transition into a team-builder role; willingness to take on any task at this stage.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the payroll, payments, insurance space, or another regulated money-moving business.
  • Experience assisting in the management of a priced fundraise.

Responsibilities

  • Own the financial model and forecast, translating revenue trajectory into a company-wide plan and a board-trusted model.
  • Manage board and investor reporting, including monthly metrics, quarterly board materials, and the associated financial narrative.
  • Oversee unit economics and pricing analysis, focusing on metrics like ARPU, gross margin, payback, and the economics of new offerings such as benefits brokerage and in-house payroll.
  • Collaborate on capital allocation decisions, including Series B funding deployment, burn rate management, runway, and return on investment for significant initiatives like replacing the money-movement vendor.
  • Build the finance function by hiring and leading the controller and operations team, and managing relationships with wealth, banking, accounting partners, and auditors.
  • Prepare for and execute the next fundraise.
