About The Position

The Head of Events, Corporate Traveller Canada is responsible for leading the launch, growth, and operational readiness of the Corporate Traveller Meetings & Events business in Canada under the global Meetings & Events single operating model. This role will be accountable for developing and executing the go-to-market strategy, building a sustainable sales pipeline, establishing strong partnerships with Corporate Traveller sales and account management teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of Meetings & Events solutions to clients. The role will work closely with Corporate Traveller Canada leadership, Meetings & Events leadership, and regional stakeholders to establish the Corporate Traveller Meetings & Events proposition, drive revenue growth, and create a scalable operating framework for future expansion. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across sales, client growth, operational readiness, service delivery, and future team development to ensure sustainable and profitable growth.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading Meetings & Events or a similar business function
  • Demonstrated success in launching or growing new business lines or products
  • Strong experience developing and executing go-to-market strategies
  • Track record of building and managing sales pipelines
  • Experience working with sales and account management teams in a B2B environment
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strategic thinker with experience in revenue growth and business planning
  • Experience working with regional or global stakeholders
  • Strong commercial acumen, including forecasting and performance reporting

Responsibilities

  • Lead the launch, growth, and operational readiness of the Corporate Traveller Meetings & Events business in Canada
  • Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy aligned with global business objectives
  • Build and maintain a strong, sustainable sales pipeline
  • Identify, qualify, and secure new Meetings & Events opportunities across the client portfolio and market
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with Corporate Traveller sales, account management, and leadership teams
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders to drive retention and growth
  • Create and execute market launch plans including sales enablement, positioning, and client acquisition strategies
  • Establish frameworks to support operational readiness and future scalability
  • Partner with M&E operational leaders to ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and delivery of client programs
  • Develop business cases, growth plans, revenue forecasts, and performance reporting
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators including revenue, pipeline, retention, and profitability
  • Act as the primary M&E representative within Corporate Traveller Canada leadership
  • Achieve financial targets, growth objectives, and strategic milestones
  • Represent Corporate Traveller M&E at industry events and networking opportunities
