About The Position

Join FCM Meetings & Events, part of the Flight Centre Travel Group, where creativity meets global impact. As an Event Manager, you’ll lead the delivery of exciting live, virtual, and hybrid events for a dedicated finance client, bringing ideas to life from concept through execution. This is a hands-on role where you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and create memorable experiences that leave a lasting impression. This role typically operates Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with flexibility to support occasional evening and weekend event delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in event, conference, or incentive management
  • Experience managing live, virtual, and hybrid events
  • Strong project management, multitasking, and time management skills
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and financial reconciliation
  • Experience with event management platforms (Cvent or similar)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to manage large data sets and reporting (Excel functions like VLOOKUP)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with group travel coordination and supplier engagement preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end planning and successful execution of assigned events
  • Build and manage event critical paths, timelines, and deliverables
  • Develop, track, and reconcile event budgets and financials
  • Oversee onsite and pre/post-event logistics, ensuring quality and accuracy
  • Manage, mentor, and guide support team members across projects
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and event files
  • Deliver exceptional client service through clear, professional communication
  • Respond to client and delegate queries within agreed timeframes
  • Ensure compliance with event processes, systems, and standards
  • Build and manage registration platforms, delegate data, and event technology tools
  • Coordinate payments, invoicing, and financial reconciliation processes
  • Contribute to proposal development, supplier sourcing, and destination knowledge
  • Travel for site inspections and onsite event delivery as required (6–10 trips annually)
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
