About The Position

Alpen Labs is building the infrastructure layer that expands what Bitcoin can do. We’re building Alpen to become Bitcoin’s financial system, enabling users and institutions to access financial services directly on Bitcoin. Founded by MIT alumni and based in New York, the company focuses on advancing Bitcoin through innovations in zero-knowledge cryptography, scalable Layer 2 systems, and programmable infrastructure. We believe Bitcoin is entering a new phase where developers, institutions, and financial systems will build directly on top of it. Alpen enables this by adding financial services, privacy, and usability layers to Bitcoin, making it practical to use as money at a global scale. Our team includes engineers and researchers from organizations such as Blockstream Research, Palantir, and Nethermind, as well as contributors to major open-source cryptography and blockchain projects.

Requirements

  • Experience driving growth through partnerships, platforms, or ecosystem strategies
  • Ability to define strategy and execute directly in a fast-moving environment
  • Can translate complex technical ideas into clear, compelling market narratives
  • Experience building content engines that generate inbound (reports, thought leadership, etc.)
  • Strong instincts around industry moments, events, and distribution channels that influence target partner segments
  • Strong cross-functional operator, working with BD, leadership, and technical teams to shape strategy and drive outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in crypto, fintech, or developer ecosystems
  • Existing relationships across relevant media, conferences, or ecosystem players
  • Background working with infrastructure or protocol-level products

Responsibilities

  • Own ecosystem marketing strategy
  • Own how Alpen EVM is positioned and understood by partners and the broader ecosystem
  • Develop a clear narrative and brand strategy aligned with partnership and distribution goals
  • Drive high-quality inbound for partnerships
  • Build and execute strategies that generate inbound interest from relevant ecosystem participants
  • Ensure marketing efforts are tightly aligned with BD pipeline and partnership KPIs
  • Build Alpen’s content and narrative engine
  • Lead the creation of high-impact content (e.g., reports, thought leadership, ecosystem narratives)
  • Expand on successful content formats to consistently generate inbound and awareness
  • Translate complex technical concepts into compelling, ecosystem-relevant narratives
  • Own Alpen’s presence in key industry moments
  • Identify and prioritize the most important conferences, events, and channels
  • Scale content formats that consistently drive inbound and ecosystem engagement
  • Drive strategic participation in moments that matter for ecosystem growth
  • Bridge BD and marketing
  • Partner closely with BD to understand distribution and partnership targets
  • Translate those goals into effective marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Own inbound demand and ecosystem visibility, while BD owns partner relationships and deal execution
  • Define and evolve the strategy
  • Bring a strong point of view on how Alpen should go to market within the ecosystem
  • Continuously refine positioning, channels, and programs based on results
