This position provides strategic direction and leadership for all corporate communications and business area communications for Roche Diagnostics Corporation (RDC) in the US. This includes internal and external corporate communications, media relations, crisis management, executive communications, digital and social media, and corporate brand and reputation management. The role manages creative and event production agencies, and works directly with the President & CEO of Roche Diagnostics North America and other C-suite executives to align communications strategy with business goals. Key responsibilities include developing and enforcing the corporate brand strategy, owning organizational change communications, and collaborating with the Diagnostics Marketing organization to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms. The role also develops and implements public relations strategies for the North America region to foster a favorable company image and oversees the editing and distribution of various communication materials. Additionally, this position leads corporate social responsibility strategy and manages the charitable giving program, partnering with business area leadership to project the desired corporate message and maintain global brand guidelines. The Head of Communications serves as the main interface with public relations agencies and acts as the corporate spokesperson. They provide strategic counsel, media training, and communications support for all RDC business areas. As a direct report to the President & CEO and a member of the United States Leadership Team and the Global Diagnostics Communications Leadership Team, this role participates in strategic planning, may develop corporate communications policies, and interacts regularly with executives and major customers. The role also has responsibility for maintaining and improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives.
