About The Position

Western Colorado University invites applications for the full-time position of Head of Access Services. This position reports to the Director of Library Services, works closely with Western students and faculty, and is responsible for overseeing library circulation processes and student assistant supervision.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• One-year experience in customer service, administrative, or clerical roles.
• Supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new computer applications.
• Collaborative mindset.

• Experience working in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Participating in the daily operations of circulating library materials, including the management of patron records and collections maintenance.
• Staffing the combined circulation-reference desk and reference chat, responding to questions from campus and community patrons.
• Managing undergraduate student library assistants, including hiring, training, and supervision.
