About The Position

The Head Freshman Boys Basketball Coach will assist the Varsity Head Coach by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Freshman Boys Basketball team. The coach’s style and philosophy must align with the Inside Out Coaching Initiative and Education-Based Athletics, or the coach must be willing to receive training in these approaches.

Applicants must submit a Letter of Introduction and a resume that includes 2–3 references. First Aid and CPR/AED certifications must come from hands-on training courses; online courses are not accepted.

Requirements

• Current CPR/AED certification from a hands-on training course; online courses are not accepted.
• First Aid card from a hands-on training course; online courses are not accepted.
• Coaching certificate.
• NFHS Concussion certificate.
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate.
• NFHS Heat Illness certificate.
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology.
• Valid TB test.
• Fingerprint clearance.
• Completion of Keenan courses.
• All other RJUHSD-mandated certificates and coach clearance requirements stated on the RJUHSD website.
• Submit a Letter of Introduction.
• Submit a resume including 2–3 references.
