About The Position

The Head Track and Field Coach at West Park High School will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Track and Field Program. Depending on the candidate’s fit and preference, the position may be shared with another individual in a co-head coach arrangement due to the scope of the program. The candidate’s coaching philosophy and style must align with, or the candidate must be willing to be trained in, the District’s Education-Based Athletics philosophy and the Inside Out Coaching Initiative.

Requirements

• Current CPR/AED certification; CPR/AED training must be hands-on, as online courses are not accepted.
• Current First Aid card; First Aid training must be hands-on, as online courses are not accepted.
• Coaching Certificate.
• NFHS Concussion Certificate.
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate.
• NFHS Heat Illness Certificate.
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology.
• Valid TB test.
• Fingerprint clearance.
• Keenan course completions and all other RJUHSD-mandated certificates.
• All coach clearance certifications and requirements listed on the RJUHSD website.
• Submit a Letter of Introduction and a resume that includes 2–3 references.
• Coaching philosophy and style must align with, or the candidate must be willing to be trained in, the District’s Education-Based Athletics philosophy and the Inside Out Coaching Initiative.
