About The Position
These staff members will facilitate the program curriculum and supervise our cabin counseling staff as they lead our youngest students in their leadership exploration. Head Counselors focus on large group management and leadership and work with counseling staff to deliver a quality experience aligned with C5 objectives. Head Counselors will also assist with operations (youth supervision, administrative duties, etc.) and cabin coverage throughout the week.
Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age; at least two years of college education
- CPR/First Aid certified or willing to become CPR/First Aid certified
- Experience in youth development
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Experience mentoring and advising youth
Nice To Haves
- Prior camp experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementation of counseling staff training
- Coach and supervise up to eight counselors
- Facilitate C5 Leadership curriculum
- Monitor camper progress and coach counselors on managing camper behavior
- Evaluate counselor performance and provide feedback
- Actively engage youth at all times
- Other duties as assigned.
