About The Position

Franklin Pierce University invites applications for the position of Head Coach for the Women’s Softball program. This is a full-time role responsible for leading all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program, including recruiting, player development, program administration, and student-athlete success. The Head Coach will provide leadership that aligns with the University’s mission, supports student-athlete academic achievement, and promotes a positive team culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Prior collegiate coaching and recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance requirements.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and holistic student-athlete development.
  • Ability to manage budgets and oversee program operations effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the softball program, including practice planning and game preparation, recruitment and retention of student-athletes, and player development and performance evaluation.
  • Manage program operations: budget planning and financial oversight, scheduling and travel coordination, and equipment and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and University rules and regulations.
  • Monitor and support student-athletes’ academic progress and personal development.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance team culture.
  • Represent the University and athletic program in a professional manner on campus and externally.
