About The Position
This role involves coaching the track team, with a strong emphasis on teaching life skills and sportsmanship. The coach will support athletes' academic progress, manage their eligibility, and design effective training programs. Responsibilities include organizing practices and competitions, staying updated on rules and techniques, and handling administrative tasks such as uniform distribution, fundraising, and financial management. The coach will also be responsible for equipment maintenance and upholding school standards.

Responsibilities
- Teaching life skills and sportsmanship
- Supporting the athlete's schooling, grades, and attendance
- Overseeing eligibility
- Registering each individual athlete for games and deciding who will be competing
- Designing workouts that will prepare the athletes for competition
- Recognizing which events each individual will participate in to benefit both them and the team
- Continue learning more and updating techniques
- Organizing and overseeing conditioning, practices, and games
- Knowing the rules and regulations of the sport
- Attending coaches' meetings
- Issuing and collecting uniforms
- Fundraising
- Providing forms and information on athletes to the athletic director
- Attending trainings such as CPR and first aid
- Providing announcements on the team's and athletes' performances to the school and the Reaper
- Handling of finances (budgeting)
- Keeping track of equipment and making sure it is in condition to be used in competition
- Upholding the standards of the school at practice and competition
